Fawn Lake is making this a themed swim meet, the theme is a Luau!

Directions: Fawn Lake is a gated community. Please use the left lane at the entrance gate and let security know you are there for the swim meet. Fawn Lake’s pool is located behind the HOA building on the circle. Follow the path to the right of the building.

Parking: Parking is limited. If needed, you may pull up to the pool area to drop off swimmers and equipment before parking your vehicle. Additional parking is available on nearby streets. If parking on a side street, please ensure that all four tires remain on the roadway and are not on the grass or shoulder.

Concessions: Cash or credit is accepted. Please see the attachment for full concessions menu.

Clerk of Course: Please see the attachment for a map of the pool deck including our seating area and clerk of course location. Clerk of the course is the area where swimmers report before their event. Swimmers will be checked in, seated, and organized into their heats before being escorted to the starting blocks for their race. It is important for swimmers to listen to announcements and report to the Clerk of the Course promptly when called.

Heat Sheets: Heat Sheets will be available during practice Wednesday Morning for swimmers to find out their events for the swim meet. You may also find out your swimmers’ events via Swimtopia, please make sure to download the app before the swim meet. If your child is swimming, you can expect to volunteer for half of the meet. Your volunteer job assignment will be available on Swimtopia as well.

Volunteer Information: If your child is participating in the meet, your family can expect to provide one volunteer for half of the swim meet. Volunteer assignments will be available in the SwimTopia app prior to the meet.

Uniform: Swimmers should be in their team uniform, a royal blue competition swimsuit and the new team swim cap.

Recommended list of what to bring to a meet: swim suit, team cap, 2 pairs of goggles, 2 towels, deck chairs, sun block, team shirt, sweatshirt, water bottle/drinks, snacks, money for concessions, outfit for the ride home, and something to do.

Inclement Weather: If we are asked to clear the deck in the event of inclement weather, it is important for the safety of all swimmers as well as their families that we remain in our vehicles until we are given the “all clear” to return to the pool deck. Please make sure you have the Swimtopia App downloaded onto your phone with push notifications enabled so you can receive important weather-related updates as well as event updates throughout the swim meet.

Practice for Thursday June 11th: Thursday's practice will be an optional stroke clinic focused on a single swim stroke. This clinic will provide swimmers with additional instruction and technique work to help improve their skills. Please be on the lookout for an email from Coach Kate with details regarding the practice time and which stroke will be the focus of the clinic.
