Lake of the Woods Barracudas

The Lake of the Woods Barracudas is a summer swim team located in Locust Grove, VA.  We are part of the Rappahannock Swim League and practice at Sweetbriar Pool in Lake of the Woods.  Our aim is to help our swimmers improve their skills, learn good sportsmanship, and have fun while competing against other local teams.  Our season runs from Memorial Day until the last weekend in July.

We have lots of fun things planned for the season and hope to see you at the pool.

Lake of the Woods Barracudas Swim Team registration for the 2026 summer season opens April 5! The Barracudas swim team is a fun summer activity that keeps kids active, builds confidence in the water, and gives them the opportunity to be part of a great community.

Registration for new and returning families will be open from April 5–April 26. Late registration will be available April 27–May 3, with a $25 late fee per swimmer. Swimmers must be at least 5 years old and able to swim the width of Sweetbriar Pool unassisted to join the team.

Our annual parents’ meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 13, from 6:00–7:00 PM. Families will have the opportunity to learn about officiating and volunteer opportunities, as well as receive important information about evaluations, practices, swim meets, finals, and other updates for the season. We look forward to welcoming our families back for another exciting summer with the Barracudas!
