Welcome to the Barracudas
The Lake of the Woods Barracudas are a summer swim team located in Locust Grove, Virginia, and a member of the Rappahannock Swim League. We welcome swimmers ages 5–18 for a fun summer of swimming, teamwork, and competition.
Our goal is to help swimmers improve their skills, learn competitive swimming techniques, build confidence, and develop good sportsmanship while making new friends and creating lasting memories. We practice at Sweetbriar Pool in Lake of the Woods, with a season running from Memorial Day through the last weekend in July.

2026 RSL Record Breaker - Vivian Frey
Six and Under Swimmer Vivian Frey set not one, but two Rappahannock Swim League records in the Girls 6 & Under 25-meter Backstroke during the 2026 season. At the Barracudas first meet of the season on June 10, Vivian set a new RSL record with a time of 26.26 seconds. Just one week later, on June 17, she returned to the pool and broke her own record, finishing the event in an even faster time of 25.59 seconds.
