In the past, the Barracudas always had the day after a meet off. This year, we will be introducing a new optional opportunity on the days after meets. For those swimmers that would like to get in some extra practice and technique work, we will be holding clinics. These clinics give the swimmer a chance to train with more focused attention from the coaches. Clinics will focus on specific skills such as diving, turns, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and/or butterfly. Clinic spots will be limited in an effort to maximum attention and effectiveness. Please be courteous and arrive at least 5 minutes before your assigned time slot. *Note: if you sign up for a clinic spot, and do not show up, your ability to sign up for future clinics may be limited.
This year, the Barracudas are collecting gently used, outgrown or no longer needed practice and team swimsuits, googles, and swim caps. If you have any you would like to donate, please bring them to the registration meeting or to the first week of practice. The board will work to redistribute these. Please use the Wish List Form below if you have any wishes.
Swimmers who are at least 15 years old are encouraged to volunteer as a buddy for our younger and/or new swimmers on the team. The older buddies will serve as a role model and mentor to the team’s youngest and new swimmers. Buddies will provide encouragement at practices and meets to help ease any nervousness and promote comradery. Buddies can also bring their youngster a goody bag and card/sign to meets to pep them up!
If your swimmer is interested in volunteering for the Barracuda Buddy program, please email Coach Holly with names and ages in order to be paired. Please also indicate if your swimmer is open to having more than one buddy. Swimmers who are younger than 15 may also volunteer to be a buddy, but priority will be given to the oldest swimmers first.
If you have a swimmer ages 5-10 on the team or are new to the team, please email Coach Holly using the flyer information below in order to receive a buddy!
