Head and Assistant Coach Search
The Barracudas are looking for enthusiastic and dependable coaches to join the team this summer. The Barracudas pride themselves on being a family-friendly, community-focused program that welcomes swimmers ages 5-18, of all skill levels in a positive and encouraging environment. The coaching positions include leading weekday morning practices, coaching at weekday afternoon swim meets, and participating in a small number of weekend commitments. Some travel to nearby pools is required. Prior coaching experience and a swimming background are preferred. Candidates must be lifeguard and CPR certified and able to pass a background check. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, staying active, and becoming part of a close-knit, welcoming community. The head and assistant coach positions are part-time, summer seasonal coaching positions based in Locust Grove, VA. Coaches are expected to oversee and coach practices five days per week for the whole of the RSL season. Coaches report directly to the LOW Swim Board.
Required Certifications - Lifeguard Training or WSI and CPR or Community First Aid, SafeSport Training, background check
Hours - Monday - Friday: 7:45-12:15, and usually one evening a week (for meets), plus championships meet which is TBD
Head coach must also attend RSL meeting
Compensation - $2,500 - $4,500 - salary commensurate with experience and position
